Ambient air and meteorology

Ambient air contaminants damage ecosystems, impair human health and the quality of living and lead to damage to buildings. The goal of national environmental standards and international accords is to ensure the long-term conservation of a healthy natural environment.

The improvement of air quality with regards to some basic air contaminants compared to the situation some ten years ago is due to consistent environmental policies which include the well-founded implementation of reduction goals and continual monitoring of the chosen strategy. We are proud to have contributed to this development as contractors for the Swiss government and its various agencies. Our goal is to help realize a lasting healthy atmosphere.

Each air hygiene attainment measure begins with a comprehensive assessment of the current situation using a monitoring concept. The concept is based on local pollution sources and climate.

We assess emission flows and develop emission inventories for our customers. We develop tailored monitoring concepts to assess ambient air quality. Our concepts are accompanies by meteorological monitoring, which enable the determination of local and regional contaminant distribution. The results are then published in scientific journals or in reports for the customer or the general public.

We offer expert services at reasonable prices and guarantee the high quality of our results, no matter which kind or project. We have for example carried out inexpensive passive ambient air monitoring in small projects for communities or comprehensive monitoring campaigns with monitoring stations and mobile monitoring platforms on vehicles or cable railway systems.
